About Our Organization
The Children’s Miracle Network was founded in 1983 with hopes of raising money for children’s hospitals around the country and encouraging people to support children in their local community. Our local hospital is Dayton Children’s Hospital. They strive to provide quality healthcare from infancy to adolescence. There are more than 290,000 infants, children, and teens that come to the hospital for care every year. They provide everything from check-ups, to specialty clinics, to intensive care and surgeries in hopes of improving the health status of all children. University of Dayton Dance Marathon’s goal is to provide funds and awareness for Dayton Children’s. We are just one of 150 schools nationwide that raise money for a local children’s miracle network hospital. The University of Dayton has participated in Dance Marathon for 15 years. Just in the past four years we have been able to raise over $138,700. We have numerous fundraisers throughout the year, leading up to our main event in the spring. This year our Dance Marathon will be held for 13.1 hours on February 21, 2015 with the goal of raising over $60,000! We are proud to support our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital and as always, it's for the kids (FTK).
